OmaHUH?

If the words "Omaha Nebraska" don't equal "fun" in your mind, then you are pretty much on the same page as I was. Add to that list "College World Series," and "fun for the whole family" is completely out of the picture. But my hat goes off to Omaha because guess what...it's pretty fun! Spencer and Nikki hosted our Anderson Family Reunion this year and apart from the 10 hour drive, we had a great time. When this group gets together, there is rarely ever any sitting around and yawning, we like to GO GO GO, so here is the condensed version of our trip...

Winter Quarters Temple -
This was a first for me and it was pretty neat. Beside the temple, there is a cemetery-like area that has over 400 graves of those pioneers who died there when crossing the plains. We also toured the visitors center across the street.

The Littles
The Guys
The Girls
The Whole Gang
Dinner at Uncle Jim and Aunt Sandy's
Pedis for the Ladies
Splash Station
Aves taking a break
Chillin' in the Pool
Monday Night the Guys went to one of the College World Series games...the only problem was the severe weather (crazy thunderstorm/tornado warnings) that sent them packing pretty quickly. Poor Guys!

Kung Fu Panda 2
Cute cousins at the movies
Stella's - Home of Omaha's Best Burger
Shopping
Robyn practiced her photography skills at the Mall playplace...
Ava
Carver
Elsie

The Omaha Zoo
Even in the rain, this zoo was really great. Most of the exhibits are indoors, so it was perfect!
Carv, K, Kelan
Not even Ava was afraid of the snake
Carv with the Sharks

This mama monkey had twin babies, so cute!

The cousins loved playing in this jeep
Family Photo Shoot
The Amazing Andersons - all 20 of us!

Gma & Gpa & there 9 Gkids

The Amazing Pizza Machine
Then the boys played a little more ball.
I don't think the guys got in quite as much baseball as they would've liked, but we had tons of family time and it turned out to be really fun.  I'm glad my kids will have these fun memories with family to look back on someday.
