I keep bumping into this picture on pinterest of The Netherlands...
We were a little disappointed.
It wasn't exactly a parting of the Red Sea.
At least the littles had fun exploring. Apparently some people bring metal detectors out to this area and have found cannon balls and other artifacts. Elsie settled for rocks and shells.
Running down a dirt hill was all the fun K and Carv needed.
Woo Hoo!
Take 2 of our efforts to get to know Nederland a little bit better. The kids were out of school last week but Ry was super busy at work. We didn't get out much and got super stir crazy in our apartment…I don't even want to talk about it. So Friday, Ry managed to take some time off, and we decided to head to the southern most town of Maastricht, which borders Germany on one side and Belgium on the other. It was a little more successful than our Moses Bridge trip…
This old church was converted into a fabulous bookstore...
The ever popular Miffy aka "Nijntje" - character in a beloved Dutch book series.
Mmmm...
Chocolate, anyone?
Hanging out at Vrijthof square...
He melts my heart...
Sorry Els, no more room...
Maastricht University...
Snapping pics by these crazy sculptures that look like they are made out of chewed gum. Everyone picked their favorite one...
It's fun getting to know our new country…even if we have some failed attempts along the way.

Looks like so much fun! I am super impressed that you can remember and spell the names of all the places you visit. Pretty sure I couldn't even pronounce any of them.
