We rearranged some summer plans so we could head back to the US for 2 family weddings - Caitlin & Eric's and Jeffrey & Kirsten's. Caitlin and I had been paroozing pinterest for months to plan this shindig. With the help of the whole fam, I think she got her picture perfect day.
Temple Pics

| This little Boo Boo is beloved by all. I totally love this pic of Geneva looking at him too! |
| We were bummed that Chris's girls couldn't come. |
| Jeffrey is always consoling one of the kids. |
| We were also missing Brent, Janeen, & kiddos. |
Reception Pics
| I loved this adorable balloon sign in idea. Caitlin basically showed Eric's mom some pictures, and she whipped it right up. All the guests signed a balloon that was later attached to that silhouette of Cait & Eric holding balloon strings. So cute! Dianne made that adorable scrapbook for Caitlin's shower too. |
| Pinwheels are pretty easy to make, but the larger ones made of wrapping paper were a little trickier. Then, some hobby lobby letters, scrapbook paper, and mod podge...and we personalized the wall. One of those photo hangers has all their pics from dating, the other has all their baby pics. It turned out so great! |
| We got those little chalkboards from Oriental Trading and painted them right up. Caitlin got some really cool frames from Accents at her shower - they went perfectly with all the other decor. |
| We had the hardest time finding centerpieces that fit the bill. We ended up using the burlap flower bouquets that the bridesmaids held for half the tables, and we pick up some other little things for the other tables. All the sisters got together to paint those Mason jars one night and add the trim and buttons as well. You can't tell very well from the pictures, but there were a lot of little details on these tables. |
| I tried to find rustic doors everywhere that we could maybe reuse or repurpose somehow, but we finally just ended up renting them. |
| More mason jars, some engineering prints trimmed with ribbon, and a few other little details made up the head table. Poor Geneva spent half the day trying to hang those photos! We finally just propped them up on a narrow table. |
| The 2 parachutes that we hung from the ceiling really made the room look cool and different. I tried to find a cargo parachute that would cover more of the ceiling, but we settled for these 2 smaller ones because that's all we could find. My Dad almost died trying to hang them. Also, my marriage barely survived the hanging of those stupid parachutes, but they actually turned out great. |
| There was a lot of debate about what food to serve. Geneva had the idea to serve some of Cait & Eric's favorites, and it turned out perfectly. Geneva made dozens and dozens of chocolate chip cookies before hand for one of Caitlin's favorites. Caitlin and Erik made the pretzel turtles together one night. My mom had a whole army of helpers in the kitchen heating up meatballs and mini pizzas. The food really is the hardest part! |
| The lighting was the one thing that we really under planned. The parachutes look way better with the lights dimmed, but we needed to bring in a ton of extra lighting to make it bright enough. We really had to throw it all together last minute, which felt pretty frantic. |
| My dad's friend made that wedding cake for cost...such a sweet lady! |
| Those Lichtenberg's really know how to boogie! |
| Love this pic of the cute couple getting attacked by birdseed. Also, quick shout out to all our lifelong friends in the Cleburne Ward - they had the whole reception completely cleaned up in probably 1 hour flat. It was awesome! |
Congrats Caitlin & Eric - you guys are such a beautiful couple and it's only a matter of time before you have beautiful brown-eyed tanned skinned babies!
