Texas Hospitality

For the past couple of weeks, we have had Ryan's youngest sister Merilee visiting us from Idaho, and since we don't get tons of visitors, we really had to show her what Texas hospitality is all about. Ryan took the first week off of work and we pretty much went out and did something fun every day. The following week, it was just me, Merilee, and 'the babies' but we still managed to have a good time. I would give the play by play, but since my 'mommy brain' can't even think back that far (sad, I know) I'll just jot down the highlights:

-we went to Cabella's (the zoo for our kids) and played the fake shooting range game (it's so fun, PS: I won)
-we took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda (i think that's what it's called) and surprisingly, thanks to the magic of popcorn, everyone stayed quiet through the whole thing...after the movie the kids played at the play place in the Denton mall and loved it
-we had a day of shopping at Southlake - always a good time
-Merilee and I got pedicures (for her way belated birthday gift) and a side note: the Wal-Mart nail place in Roanoke is just as good as everyone says it is
-we all went to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens and had a little photo shoot
-we went out to eat at Babe's - home of all things fried
-we had a day of shopping at Grapevine Mills (complete with a stop at Cinnabon)
-we had a picnic at Lake Ray Roberts (who knew there was a fake beach in Texas, no one ever told me...I know where we're hanging out next summer)
-we took the kids to the park
-we went and toured some new model homes (my favorite thing to do)
-we pretty much filled the rest of the time with naps and more random shopping here and there
-we went to Sundance Square and made the much needed stop at Uno's for giant peanut butter cups
