When I was in high school, some of my friends called my brother Bryan "the forgotten Carver" because when they'd try to list the names of all my brothers and sisters, he seemed to be the one that was usually forgotten. Now, after serving a 2 year mission in Guadalajara, Mexico, the forgotten Carver is back...never to be forgotten again!
Here we all are at the airport ready and waiting...

We were so excited for Bryan to meet the twins for the first time...

About an hour later,
still ready and waiting...

Finally, he popped up right behind us out of nowhere. I swear, we never seem to
get the hero's welcome right. DFW is too big I tell you! Anyway, Bryan said he was nervous about coming home, and he felt even worse after being shuffled through customs, but once he saw Ryan's head from a distance he knew he was in the right place and everything would be okay.

Bryan left for his mission just 1 day after our little Carver James was born.

It sure didn't take Bryan long to figure out the best way to look after Carver - let him watch a little TV and try to hold him still so he doesn't run off...

Bryan's homecoming talk at church landed on Valentine's Day. My mom made matching skirts for all the granddaughters to wear and they turned out
so cute...

Speaking of Valentine's Day, I need to give my props to Ryan for surprising me with some new earrings that I mentioned liking when I was looking through a catalog. I don't know where that kid finds the time to be so sneaky but he pulls it off somehow. Also a big
THANKS to Grandma Anderson for the fun Valentine's package. It's nice to be remembered on the day of love.

Bryan will probably head off to college in no time, so we are defin
itel
y enjoying having him home while it lasts. Welcome Home Bry Bry!
