A few weeks ago my dad had some free tickets to
Mayfest that he wasn't using, so we decided to load up the kiddos and head over to Trinity Park to check it out.

We had never been to
Mayfest before so we didn't know what to expect. It was pretty much like a fair with the standard bouncy houses, petting zoos, carnival rides, and tons of fried food. We decided as soon as we got there that we were just going to search for the free stuff for the kids to do. We finally found a whole area full of free kids activities, games, and crafts. The kids had a great time, plus the weather was perfect - a breezy 80 degrees - so we had a nice time just walking and looking around.

I had a nice kick-back mother's day this year too. Any day that I get to sleep in, someone makes me breakfast, and I pass off all the dirty work to Ryan is a
great day in my book. The day was even better when Ryan and the kids surprised me with this cute new bag...

This past weekend we got together with my family at Rosa's to celebrate Jeffrey's 19
th birthday, his last birthday at home for a while. Check out Ava going to town on her favorite tortillas...

What?

Quadruple trouble...Dawn & Tom, Ava & Elsie

We had 10 adults and 10 crazy kids there...people weren't staring
at all
Happy Birthday J$$!

We had a busy May and enjoyed the mild weather as much as possible, but now we're bracing ourselves for the sweltering heat of June. Bring on the kiddie pool and sunblock!
