We had another rainy day in the Netherlands last Saturday. But rather than stay around the house and do chores, we hopped in the car for a 30 minute drive to the cute town of Delft for some soggy exploring. Delft is known for it's blue and white pottery (which I love love LOVE and would fill my house with if I could only afford it) and even in the rain, it's streets were fun to wander...
After squishing into a small Toyota Prius for the last 3 months, we were SO psyched to finally get our new car on Friday. Check out how close we had to park to the canal, good thing Ry has been brushing up on his parallel parking skills...We toured the "old church" and the "new church" for a little break from the rain...
We have been missing our American Halloween traditions and commercialism, but nothing prepares you for Halloween like these eerie grave stones covering the old church floor. Check out that skeleton…SPOOKY...
The Old Church had amazing stained glass windows filled with biblical scenes...
The new church was equally neat and right across from another ornate town hall…
If the shoe fits...

And this is how we all felt at the end of the day...
The day trips are fun, but we are so pumped for our long road trip to Germany, Austria, and Prague next week! Huge post to come!
