Jeffrey & Kirsten get hitched!

Jeffrey & Kirsten were sealed in the Denver temple.  It was a magical day.  Not only did this super cute couple get married, but it was the first time that my parents and all 7 children were in the temple together.  My mom was pretty emotional - partly because we were all there together and she was reliving each child's journey to get to that place (which for some was a real roller coaster), and partly because Jeffrey himself found a really special girl who fits right in with our family.  I can only imagine what it's going to feel like when Bryan gets married.
Alright, let's go ahead and get this pic out of the way...
Wow, there he is!
I asked Brent (aka: the family comedian) to snap a quick pic of me outside the temple...
He then handed the camera to me so I could get his shot...

and ever

I was missing my fam, but got plenty of pics with my sisters!
 Presenting the Carver's...
Kirsten's dress was a family heirloom (her mom's or grandma's maybe?  can't remember).  She made a few adjustments and it looked so perfect on her and so original.
 Oldest bro, baby bro...

The reception was in her parent's backyard in Colorado Springs.  It was really colorful, adorned with lights & bunting, complete with a s'mores bar & trail mix bar, & mini pulled pork sandwiches & the like to feast on.  It had a real Colorado feel to it and was just so SO cute.  Since we didn't know most of the guests that were there, we went ahead and danced the night away.  We partied so hard that we literally broke the dance floor that Kirsten's dad & Jeffrey built for the occasion.  No big deal, slap on some reinforcements, and we went right on dancing until they kicked us out.  These are all iPhone pics, so they are pretty blurry, but you get the idea...
Brent was the MC and we all laughed till we cried.
Brothers - oldest to youngest, shortest to tallest
It was definitely worth the effort to be there for Jeffrey & Kirsten on their special day.  I really missed my Ry guy and my little people, but sometimes you just have to make compromises in order to experience these special moments in life.  I'll say it one more time - Families are Forever!
