The Perfect Man

Some may think that the perfect man doesn't exist, but I think my little guy is well on his way. Check out Carv's newest hobby...

We have this little stick vacuum for our kitchen and when you collapse the handle it is just his size. He loves vacuuming so much that he cries when I turn it off, now that's my kind of man (the cleaning part, not the crying part).

At 18 months, Carver is at the 90th percentile for height and the 20th percentile for weight. He's starting to talk and say little phrases here and there. You really have to listen when he talks because he's pretty quiet, but he usually lets you know when he has something to say, like: here you go, wow, yeah, okay, shoes, car, ball, and of course mom, dad, etc. I think it's funny that he says thankyou but hasn't quite figured out please (usually it's the other way around). Up until a few days ago, he never told me NO, but suddenly it's like something clicked and he's been telling us all No NO NO all day long. He's also really good at pointing to different body parts (eyes, nose, ears, etc) and he's learning some animal sounds. He's totally entering the independent stage too and even throwing a tantrum here and there. But all in all, he's still a really good sleeper (usually 2 naps a day) and a GREAT listener so I consider myself lucky. Yes, little Carver is well on his way to 'perfect man' status!

Speaking of good men, I know I have been driving Ryan crazy with all of my little projects around the house lately, but he's put up with it all and with little complaint. He hung some curtains that I made and a few other things (all compliments of Hobby Lobby and my hand-me-down sewing machine, not bad eh?)

PS: We still have family in town so I've taken a brief hiatus from blogging, but I have loads of baby blessing pictures to come!

Ooh love the decorations. LOVE the curtains, did you design those? Girl you know you have to help me decorate as soon (if ever) as I move to TX. You can be my TLC decorator, you have skills.

Lil' Carver. What a man indeed. Wow, I can't wait for him and E-tom to be buddies. They are going to love each other. What an awesome little guy cleaning already. I remember when the "no" stage started with E, and yup still going. ha ha Love you Carv!

Nice sewing, Dawn junior.....I dont know what it is with Dawson and Carver but the both must have aspirations of becoming janitors... Dawson actually has his own Black & Decker Dirt Devil. He loves anything that has to do with cleaning :)

Good job keep training Carver for Kayla, he is going to be such a heart breaker. How in the world do you ever have time for projects when all those babies. You must be super women.
