2 turn TWO

Can somebody please tell me how these 2 went from this...

to THIS...

so dang fast?

My little ladies had some special time with Mommy for their birthday. We got all dressed up and had their annual well-care visit at the doctor. This probably doesn't sound like a party, but trust me, they don't know the difference. They get to go play with toys and hang out in a room painted like a castle, not to mention the stickers, new toothbrush, and prizes they get there. Anyway, here are the stats for our 2 lovely 2 year olds...
E - 80% height, 30%weight, 85%head, A - 80%height, 50%weight, 97%head. Elsie is just a hair taller than Ava, and E has always been a little bit scrawnier. The ladies opened many presents, including these talking dolls that Grandma bought on after-Christmas clearance last time she was here. They were IN LOVE...
Elle-Belle
Ava-Bear
The night before we all celebrated together by going to the Rangers game! We had really great seats (my favorite perk of Ryan's job) and the kids really enjoyed the game.

As for fun facts about Elsie and Ava, people are always asking me if there is a "dominant twin" and all I can say is...sort of. Elsie and Ava really take turns being in charge, but someone is usually in charge. One is usually more needy than the other, and one is usually wearing the pants. This will stay the same for about two weeks at a time and I'll begin to think that one girl is emerging as the boss, then suddenly without warning they will switch rolls...I guess that's what makes them a good pair: they are definitely individuals.
Elsie is very expressive with her facial features, especially her eyebrows, you can always tell just what she's thinking. She is normally very calm and tender hearted...but when she gets mad she unleashes this inner dragon that is impossible to console. I used to tell Ryan when they were newborns that I would rather hold Ava, because she is much louder but will calm down more easily than El, and that still holds true. Though she is reserved, she is a spunky little diva that has been trained by her brother to be pretty much fearless. She clicks with Kaydree more than Carver, and her and K definitely have a special bond.
Ava is a cuddler - that is just her love language, she loves her hugs and kisses. She is by far my LOUDEST kid - she has a cry that can be heard for miles. But with those lungs comes her love of music and singing, she will belt out any song even if she doesn't know all the words. Ava loves to play rough with Carver (probably more than Elsie) and will laugh and be silly with Carv too.
One of their many chats that the rest of us aren't privy to.
Happy Birthday E & A, we sure love ya!
