Our 3rd Halloween in Holland

We celebrated our 3rd Halloween in Holland and I think we have finally figured out how it's done.  We found our local pumpkin patch of choice.  There aren't many to choose from, but this one is our favorite and gives us a little taste of the commercialized Fall back home that we love...

I had to document the ENORMOUS rabbits they have here in Holland.  These konintjes, as they are called, are really the size of a small dog.
And now for our classic pumpkin patch shots...
Thanks Grandma, for sending those Halloween shirts since we can't get them here!
When we were in Texas during the summer, I let the kids pick out costumes.  You can find some generic costumes here around Halloween time, but really cute costumes or character dress-ups are hard to come by.  There was a serious dispute about who would be Elsa & who would be Ana.  I had to do some cunning negotiating and we finally decided that Kaydree could be Elsa for trick or treating and our church trunk or treat, and Elsie could be Elsa at the school Halloween party that K is too big for.  Here's the crew ready for the church trunk or treat...
My girlies convinced me to throw together an Olaf costume last minute.  I was looking very snowman like, so I guess it was fitting.
All ready for the school party...
Here's E at pickup after a fun-filled day of celebrating.
Finally, we found a spot to go trick or treating with some friends.  This year we joined the Nieuwvelds in their parent's fancy neighborhood, and the Aitkens came along.  Maria, Ellie, and Ananya also joined in.  We had a nice big group to walk around with.
Afterwards, we headed back to the Aitken's to decorate sugar cookies.  Pretty soon, this is what the party looked like...
These 2 never crash until the movie is over.
Another Halloween for the books!
