For one last pit stop on our drive home, we made it a point to see the Frieberg, Germany LDS temple. It was a Sunday so everything was gated up and closed. The grounds weren't too extensive, but the temple sure was beautiful.
This historic temple is viewed by many as a direct answer to the prayers of the saints in East Germany who were not allowed to travel to Bern, Switzerland to attend the temple in the 1970s.
...and just like that our biggest-longest-ever-whirlwind road trip came to an end.
