We took a beautiful drive up the coast to Split. The highway was dotted with fruit stands, so we stopped for a bag of fresh oranges...
Split is known for it's fortresslike complex at its center, Diocletian's Palace - built by the Roman emperor in the 4th century.
Inside the city walls, we walked amongst the remains of the palace where over 200 buildings - courtyards, galleries, shops, cafes, cathedrals, hotels, and several houses - are built right into the former palace. This place has a very cool vibe...
