Those avid Sesame Street watchers will know that Chris Brown (R&B guy pictured) was on the show this week singing with Elmo. Kaydree was furious as soon as she saw him, yelling at the TV "Boys DO NOT wear earrings!!!" I didn't even attempt to explain, she's very into traditional gender roles (boys do this, girls do that) so she was pretty upset, and who can blame her?
We went to a baptism today and Kaydree, still afraid to put her head completely under water, made it clear to Ryan and me that she did NOT want to be "bath-tized" under any circumstances. "Maybe when you're older" we told her...
Carver had a pretty traumatic week as well, having undergone a procedure to fix his blocked tear duct. I was a little nervous about the whole thing, after all they basically tie up your baby and take a sharp pokey thing to his eye, but after doing some research we thought it was best. We went to an awesome specialist, and the whole thing only took a couple of minutes - I just hope it's fixed for good. Carver cried a little, but he was smiling again in no time and as you can probably tell from the pictures he's no worse for the wear.
Meanwhile, both of our cars broke down on the same day this week (of all the luck). But thanks to my fabulous husband, who's becoming more of a fix-it-man each day, both cars are up and running again and all is well in Texas!

What a week! I'm glad to hear that your cars and kids are doing well. Kaydree's right...boys should NOT wear earrings. That's what we tell Cameron too.
