28 and Feelin' Great!

Ryan's birthday was Saturday, and we pretty much celebrated all weekend long. Friday night we went out on date (which, sadly, we never do) to Caddo Street Grill for dinner, then to see the Batman movie. The food was surprisingly good and the movie wasn't bad either (ryan loved it, i thought it was a little long). The next morning we floated the Brazos River with our friends the Gandys and the Braunersrithers, thanks to my parents who were nice enough to watch my kids. The weather was perfect and the river was slow and relaxing.

Next, we went to Cici's (ryan's choice of course) where he enjoyed two of his favorite things - an all you can eat buffet and pizza. The rest of the day, we let Ryan do whatever he wanted, which involved mostly ESPN and sleeping. My sister Caitlin and I slaved away the night before until 1am to make Ryan's favorite dessert, cheesecake. We topped it with chocolate covered strawberries and I have to admit, the picture doesn't really do it justice...

Finally, we opened presents which included a matchbox car that Kaydree picked out. For weeks she has been asking to get daddy a race car for his birthday, one that he could drive. I finally convinced her that he would like a small one just as well (haha). Happy Birthday Ry!
