This Saturday was the Library party in the park for Summer Reading Club. Kaydree read (well, Ryan and I read to her) a whopping 100 books this summer - and that's only counting each book once (she likes to have you read her the same book over and over again until you have it memorized). Only one other girl in her age group read more than she did - darn over achiever, she beat us out for the gift card to Barnes and Noble. Oh well, we had a great time eating, playing at the park, and watching the official ceremony where Kaydree got her certificate signed by none other than Governor Rick Perry himself! And even though we didn't win, we got plenty of consolation prices - a book bag, Beatrix Potter book, and yet another Whataburger coupon. We are so proud of our little Kaydree-bug!

Way to go Kaydree, just like your dad; reading before your time. Your mom is a wonderful tutor. You are very lucky to have two such wonderful parents. Kiss Carver for Grandma and give yourself a kiss also.
Love you,
Grandma (Idaho)
