Ryan was all excited to go see
BYU play
TCU last weekend. As for me, not so much.
Every time I go to watch any sports with Ryan, no matter what the sport or which team, our team
always looses! I guess I'm not a true sports fan (oops, my
secret's out) but for once I want to watch my team WIN. That's right: I'm in it to win it, and I realize I need to ditch this philosophy before my own kids start playing organized sports (I'm sure I'll have to endure a loss here or there) but the way I see it, that's a whole different ball game isn't it?
Anyway, Ryan decided to make it a
Guys Night and good thing he did because
BYU won (107-77). I am now convinced that I must be bad luck.

I opted for a
Girls Night instead. Lisa, Jeni, and I went to see some friends play in
Brigadoon...

I was really excited to see this show because we did it my freshmen year in high school and I haven't seen it since. (I'll spare you the picture of that one, just imagine me draped in plaid with matching braces...yikes!). Anyway, it was a good show with lots of familiar music that I'm sure will be stuck in my head for weeks. And something about seeing grown men singing and dancing around in skirts was both entertaining and disturbing at the same time...

It reminded me of a segment I saw on The View a few weeks ago that introduced a new line of male skirts from H&M. Somehow I don't think this will take off but I could be wrong...

Then again, the Scottish
do somehow mesh masculinity with skirts, exhibit A...

Still, I don't see my husband jumping on that band wagon anytime soon. And considering that the thought of Ryan borrowing clothes from my side of the closet makes me absolutely cringe, I am counting my blessings right about now. All in all, I had a fun night out with the girls and came home with a
new found appreciation for my husband's man-
ness.

Ha ha! I love reading your posts. They always make me laugh. I really hope the guy skirts thing doesn't take off...I can't see Tommy ever wearing one either! It would be pretty funny, though. Sounds like you had a lot of fun! Let us know if you ever make it up this way!
Ha ha, this one gave me a good laugh! Ahh the Brigadoon days.
I won't say who b/c I know you'll know of the first guy I thought of when I saw the man skirts.
